Your garage

This is why we are here. Your garage is the epicenter of Car Town. This is where you will make your money, show off your collections, and customize for a unique look all your own.

Floors

As you continue your expansions you can gain additional floors for your garage. The floor you are looking at is indicated at the bottom of your window.

• Edit garage

  Tired of your floor tile? Want to close off some offices? Your imagination is the limit as you change the look of your garage.

  • Work bays

    
    Sure they may all do the same things but what do you want them to look like? Your work bays are the key in making gold coins in the game. You can do many different types of jobs in your work bays from Fuzzy Dice to Monster Truck. Clicking on the bays will bring up all the different options in your service menu. You will be able to see how long the job takes, how much experience it is worth, the coin payout and the coin cost to start the job. Use the yellow arrows to scroll through your choices.

  • Shop items

    
    The shop items are purely for decoration. Add storage and tool carts to your garage.

  • Functional

    
    Functional items pay money over time. Click the blue and white informational icon to find out how much an item pays and in what time frame. Everything from kiddie rides to a foosball table is mere coins away.

  • Misc

    
    Need a refrigerator in your garage? How about a stop sign or spot light. You can find these and more in the Misc section.

  • Chairs and tables

    
    Need to have a conference or just sit for a spell? You can pick up a selection of desks, tables, and chairs in this section to spruce up your garage.

  • Flooring

    
    Pick from a variety of colors and styles for your floor tiles.

  • Walls

    Dozens of colors, textures and looks to complete your walls are found here.
    

  • Signage

    Purchase some signage for your walls in this section. From route 66 to Tirebuyer.com you can decorate your walls with your favorites!

  • Land Expansion

    Expand your garage. As you level you will be able to grow your garage into a larger and larger area giving you space to show off your collections.

  • Tirebuyer

    This special section shows you the featured in game items sponsored by Tirebuyer.com.

  • Storage

    Bought more than your garage can hold? Not a problem! You can easily drag and drop extra items and even cars into your storage!

  • Item Storage
    • All your extra items that you can’t place in your garage will show up here! You can easily drag items in and out of your storage help build and design your garage!
  • Car Storage
    • Bought a car without making room? No worries! All extra cars can be stored in our Car Storage until you are ready to put them display in your garage!
  • Recycling Box
    • Tired of your old rusty cars taking up space? Need some extra gold coins? Recycle all your old cars and items for gold coins by drag and dropping them into the Recycling Box! But be careful! You will not be able to find your old goods after they are sold, so use good judgment on your sells!

Gauges

We have two gauges for you to keep track of experience and fuel.

• XP gauge

  The experience (or xp) gauge displays your current level, the total amount of experience you have gained and a graphical display of how close you are to the next level. As the green fills up you are closing in on your next level.

• Fuel gauge

  The fuel energy gauge shows you how many races you can complete at this time. Fuel is used up in races from the high stakes track and street challenge races from the hot spot locations in Car Town.

Leaderboard Billboard

On the right hand side of your screen you will see our Leaderboard Billboard. From here you can check your status on the weekly challenge and see how you rank versus your friends. Each week the challenge changes so be sure to check often!

Car lot

On the right hand side of your screen you will see our car lot. From here you can easily buy a car and add it to your collection.

• Buy car

  This is the heart of the collection aspect of Car Town. From here you can find any car we have in the game and purchase it. Sorting and search options will help you find exactly what you want. Find out what level cars are locked to and plan your future purchases or use blue points and get what you want now. Once you have purchased your car you can place it on your garage floor or in your storage.

• Mystery Boxes

  Want to take a chance with a Mystery Box? There’s a surprise car inside every box you purchase. If you are not satisfied with the first car choice, you can always respin to get another car. The higher the mystery box level, the higher chance of getting a more expensive prize. We occasionally release limited time Mystery Boxes like the High Octane and American Muscle Mystery Boxes. These boxes will contain unreleased cars exclusive to that specific Mystery Box.

What’s Tony doing in the middle of the street? Click on him and he will take you to The Docks!

High Stakes Axel

Axel may not be as friendly as Rusty but this Car Town resident has an important job: making sure you are ready before letting you out to the High Stakes Track. Once you have 40 wins and are at least level 10 Axel will show you the way to high stakes racing.

• High stakes racing

  Here you can compete with all the other residents of Car Town. Bet Gold Coins on the outcome of your races and get ranked on the Leaderboard against your friends and all residents of Car Town.

  • Get to the track through your GPS
  • Select the car you want to use
  • Click “Find an Opponent!”
  • Select an opponent from the list of racers based on different criteria
  • Decide how much you are willing to risk!
  • Select your Fuel Boost type
  • Race!
  • Wait for your opponent to make their move
  • If your opponent declines to race or lets the challenge expire (24 hours), your fuel and bet will be refunded

• This will allow you to publish a screen capture, with a caption, to your Facebook page

Control console

In the upper right of your screen you will see a 6 icon rectangle. This controls game options for you.

• Sound

  Turns on or off the game sound (Music is separate this is all other game sound).

• Music

  Toggle the game’s music

• Quality

  You can toggle the quality to improve performance by clicking this icon.

• Fullscreen

  this will toggle the full screen option.

• Zoom in

  This option will zoom you in allowing you to see minute details and better move small objects.

• Zoom out

  This option will zoom you out giving you a larger picture view of your corner.

Service trucks

A red circle with a white exclamation point indicates you have a service vehicle broken down near your corner. Click the vehicle to post it to friends who may want to salvage it.

Cars waiting for service

Friends will often come by asking for a quick car wash or fuzzy dice installation. Click these to start work in an open work bay for quick coins.

Friendly races

If your friends have challenged you to a race you will find them cruising by your garage and revving their engines. Click their car to engage in a friendly race.

Interactive signs

On occasion you will find signs designed to assist you in participating in special promotions. Whether it is bringing you to a new in game area or linking you to a partner fan site these signs will help you with new content.
